A comedy made in France as there have been lots before, no special highlight, no star studded cast, just one or two names sticking out, yet you cannot help but smile in many scenes. Those are the exact characteristics of Ma Famille t'adore déjà in which a young fiancé departs with his bride to be for the French Ile de Ré to meet her in-laws and the whole family. What was supposed to be a great weekend morphs into a nightmare as it appears that the truth has not been told completely and the in-laws turn out to come straight from hell.... There are some deliciously funny sequences alterning with perfectly awkward scenes which pretty much define the french comedy.…

I decided that while I was in Paris I had to see a French film in French with no subtitles. Considering I had no idea what anyone was saying, I still enjoyed the film.
It does seem a little B-grade, however I think it was still worth watching. The main actress Deborah Francois is amazingly beautiful and a good actress, though I found out later that she isn't French but Belgiumian. -
