— David Helman (@davidhelman_) April 26, 2025I thought Dallas might have to trade up to get a guy with juice, but patience is a virtue.
Jaydon Blue will do just fine.

First off... Dallas will now not pick again until 204 in the sixth round.
The picks that the Cowboys gave up in 174 and 211 were both compensatory ones.
Solid work overall.
At pick 204, the Cowboys selected offensive lineman Ajani Cornelius from Oregon.

— Zach Wolchuk (@ZachWolchuk) April 26, 2025Hell yes!! Jay Toia baby! Had him in the 5th round & Cowboys land him in the 7th!
True nose. Hustle & Effort. Moves well for his size. Stout at the point of attack. Eats up double teams & keeps LB's clean. Big fan of this player!

Phil Mafeh is a bulldozer that is a true downhill back. Nice compliment for Blue that could be an early down or short yardage back

The final pick sees Dallas go back to the defensive line and take Tommy Akingbesote from Maryland.
The Dallas Cowboys have selected Maryland DT Tommy Akingbesote with the No. 247 overall selection in the seventh round. Cowboys DL coach Aaron Whitecotton was at Akingbesote's Pro Day.

I really like one thing about the Shemar James pick: Matt Eberflus has been able to develop day-three linebackers like Anthony Hitchens. If he wanted this guy, then sign me up.#DallasCowboys
