Throughout the year, we’ve had difficulties with our qualifying pace, particularly in tight situations. So, I wouldn’t say I’m surprised, but I am optimistic about the race, where we typically perform better.”
Meanwhile, Piastri reflected on his less-than-ideal qualifying session, admitting, “My lap was a bit chaotic, truthfully; I just couldn’t find my rhythm. In a way, I’m fortunate to have clinched third. The car’s performance is solid though; it wasn't a disastrous outing. I simply need to refine my lap for tomorrow.”
